about PSP USO
All our services are free of charge to active-duty and retired military men and women and their eligible dependents!
This conveniently located facility (adjacent to the baggage claim) features all the amenities and comfort of a modern commercial airline lounge. It is open daily from 5a.m. until midnight. An all-volunteer staff supports its operations.
Our volunteers work every day to assist our troops. We provide soft drinks, coffee, tea, water and snacks to visitors waiting for departing flights or transportation to the Marine Corps base at 29 Palms.
About the USO
Since before the United States entered World War II, the USO (United Service Organizations) has been the bridge between the American public and the U.S. military. In times of peace and war, the USO has consistently delivered its special brand of comfort, morale and recreational services to the military. The USO, a congressionally chartered, private, nonprofit organization, relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations to support USO activities.
The USO will support U.S. troops and their families wherever they serve. Across the United States and around the world, the American military knows that the USO is there for them. By supporting the USO, Americans show their appreciation and express their gratitude to the men and women who defend us.
USO History
68 Years of the USO
Since just before World War II, the USO has been the bridge between the American people and our men and women in uniform, conveying the heartfelt appreciation and support of a grateful nation.
Whether it is a quiet place to go for rest and relaxation, movies refreshments, or a friendly face, the USO consistently delivers its special brand of service to the military.
Fundraising
Fundraising events are our way of involving the community in the work we do.
The support we receive enables PSP USO to provide services that are central to our support of active duty service members and their families in the Palm Springs & 29 Palms areas.
Mission
“Serving those who Serve, and their families.”
The Palm Springs USO is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity. We depend on the generosity of the local community to fund our work. Without the charitable contributions in the Coachella Valley area, we would not be able to offer the variety of programs that help so many service members and their loved ones.
